This ornamental hazelnut selected by Oregon State University's breeding program has lacey dissected leaves, red leaf color and resistance to the Oregon strain of eastern filbert blight. Moderately vigorous with an upright vase-shaped growth habit 20-25ft tall with a canopy 15-20ft wide. Can be grown multi-trunked or single trunk tree. Attractive purple catkins adorn the silvery bark in winter. Periodic water once established and will accept moist sites. Full sun to part shade USDA zone 4.
